Membership Categories

Founder Membership

Restricted to individuals who are the initial subscribers to this constitution and, have contributed in cash or in kind to the initial set up of the party in its first two years of its existence and whose names shall have been entered in the founder members register.

Affiliate Member

Open to an organization or group of persons including Trade Unions, Professional associations, cooperative societies, student unions, Sacco’s, Community Based Organizations’ and others which subscribes to the party’s policies, ideologies, principles, aims and objectives.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary membership shall apply to members who are Kenyan residents upon payment of the standard membership fees of Ksh.50 (Fifty Shillings only). All the other categories are open to all Kenyans regardless of their citizenship.

Party Representative

Party Representative Membership shall be in the following categories. The fees payable is as stipulated in the Nomination and Elections Rules.

Life Membership

Life membership shall be open to individuals upon payment of Ksh. 20,0000 (Twenty Thousand shillings only) the fees liable to be paid by life members in various categories of life membership as set by the National Executive Committee.

Honorary Membership

May be granted to any person who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the policies, ideologies, principles, aims and objectives, provided that nothing under this provision shall preclude the National Governing Council from conferring or withdrawing such membership.
